"The House of Charity respects the privacy of our donors and Web site visitors."

Thank you for visiting the House of Charity Web site and reading the House of Charity Privacy Policy Statement. The House of Charity is a nonprofit, charitable organization providing education and high quality donated medical and surgical care to improve the health and life of impoverished children in America and around the world. The House of Charity is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, publicly supported organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

In order to fulfill its mission, the House of Charity maintains databases that are compiled exclusively of information knowingly and voluntarily provided to the House of Charity by our donors and Web site visitors. The House of Charity respects the privacy of our donors and Web site visitors. The House of Charity does not disclose, give, sell, or transfer any personal information about our donors and Web site visitors unless required for law enforcement or otherwise required by law. Please note the House of Charity receives Memorial and Special Occasion donations both on-line and through the mail. The House of Charity may list the name, city and state of the donor and the occasion in our print Newsletter. This is a well-established policy adopted by most charitable organizations. However, donor amounts and specific addresses are not disclosed. Donors who want the amount of their donation publicly disclosed may request the same from the House of Charity.

Web users are justly concerned about what information is being collected, and how it is being used.

The House of Charity's policy is that it does not disclose, give, sell, or transfer any personal information about the House of Charity Web site visitors unless required for law enforcement or otherwise required by law. With the exception of the House of Charity secure on-line server for credit card donations, our Web site visitors are advised and cautioned that whenever they voluntarily disclose personal information on-line - for example, to the House of Charity Bulletin Board - that information can be collected and used by anyone reading the Bulletin Board.

We must disclose pertinent credit card information to appropriate banking institutions for those persons using credit cards to make donations to the House of Charity. However, credit card information collected by the House of Charity is used strictly for billing purposes.

This Privacy Policy Statement was implemented on July 26, 2004.
